Everything was great.
The 4 people I dealt with (Nancy, Ken Chad, and Neal) went above and beyond to make the trailer the way I asked. They made sure everything was right on the trailer before I left with it. Great service! I am a totally satisfied customer!

When looking for a farrier truck cap, truck body or trailer; there are a few companies that provide one or all of these products. Over the years, I myself have used truck caps, half-trailers, horse trailers, and cargo trailers. They all have done the job intended however, once I obtained a dedicated farrier trailer (PurdyBilt F-3), I was not aware of how inadequate the others were. Clearly a dedicated farrier cap, body or trailer is far superior than a cap, body or trailer that has been altered to do the job.
Early in my career I recognized that crawling in and out of a cap was not the way for me. I also grew rapidly tired of pulling out my anvil stand and anvil when needed. A trailer resolved those issues especially since I mounted my anvil stand and anvil in the trailer so I no longer has to pull them out and set them up. After studying different company farrier trailers, I decided that a PurdyBilt trailer was what I wanted. There were many factors that lead me to choosing a PurdyBilt by UPSCO product. The model that I choose was the F-3. In my opinion, this is the Cadillac of the industry.
I prefer a farrier trailer because of the enclosed work area that allows me to accomplish what I need to do with limited amount of time and wasted energy. Backing up to a barn or in tight places is not an issue as the PurdyBilt trailers really do have a tight turning radius. I also like the ability to be able to unhook my trailer from the truck and use my truck for other reasons or just to run around doing trims. Another great reason to use a trailer is when my truck goes into the shop for repairs, I can hook up to my other truck and not have to reschedule appointments. Working comfortably out of bad weather is another positive with a trailer especially the F-3 which has low wind skirting and insulation.
As far as the PurdyBilt F-3, the retractable floor is the ultimate. To be able to slide the floor forward and walk into the trailer without having to walk up into a trailer is very convenient and safer. By comparison, my F-3 weighs 3,200 lbs. fully loaded and my old cargo trailer converted into a farrier trailer weighed 5,600 lbs. That is 2,400 lbs. more than what I'm currently towing with the F-3 and has greatly affected the type of vehicle I pull with (3/4 ton to 1/2 ton) as well as gas mileage.
The options that one can add is unbelievable. After lecturing over in Europe, I was turned onto shoe carousels as they can hold more shoes in a much smaller space. PurdyBilt's "Lazy Shoesan" shoe carousel and pad holder in one surely meets that criteria. Any option you desired can be fulfilled at PurdyBilt The creativity of PurdyBilt far exceeds all other related companies. The craftsmanship is clearly superior and PurdyBilt takes extreme measures in attention to details. The customer service goes above and beyond that of other companies. The people of PurdyBilt by UPSCO are caring, friendly and compassionate about their products.
If your a farrier looking for a new truck cap, truck body or trailer, then trust in the fact that PurdyBilt provides a top quality product with great customer service. You will find as I have, that PurdyBilt provides a quality product that will clearly exceed your expectations.

Dear PurdyBilt,
It has been 3 weeks since my PurdyBilt trailer was delivered to my area. We had a great time setting it up for going to work. Everything was built so well and fit up so nicely that it was a snap to get ready to hit the road. Once we got to work, it was incredible how easy it was to shoe horses out of. First of all, the trailer tows like a dream. It is so stable and easy to maneuver behind the truck. The tongue length was perfect for getting into tight places.
We decided to put in an Onan 3600 watt generator, fueled by propane. Neal and the crew put in the propane tank and generator so well, I have had numerous guys slide under the bottom of the trailer to check out the beautiful welds and the excellent workmanship of all the wiring. The generator works awesome and it is amazing how quiet it is and the amount of power it has. It is definitely worth the investment of putting it in.
The features of the trailer are remarkable; the slide-outs are all super. The anvil slide out is so much easier than heaving it up on the rear of the trailer. The drawer units that you put in have been great. The ones under the floor towards the rear are very easy to work out of, and they hold an incredible amount of items.
The pad rack and different shelf units that were put in have been super easy to work out of. They are a perfect height and are easily accessible. The welder slide-out is great to work with and we can weld from any angle in the trailer.
Everyone has been very impressed with the workmanship and quality of the trailer. Not only is it pleasing to the eye it is also very easy to work around.
Neal Purdy was great to work with; he kept me updated and informed throughout the building process. By sending me pictures through our phones, I could see exactly how things were going.
I would highly recommend PurdyBilt to anyone. I think they make an incredible quality product.
Thank you,

Thought I'd drop you a note to let you know how impressed I am with the F-3. I ride with Esco Buff quite a bit and have been a fan of the F-3 since I first saw it at the hoof summit in 2009. Seeing the trailer at a convention was nice, but getting the chance to see it being used was a totally different experience. I've noticed a change in Esco's clients, attending veterinarians, and barn staff when he arrives. It used to be that he was the center of attention, now the trailer tour takes up the first half hour of the appointments I've been with him on.
So in all fairness you should make potential customers aware of the F-3 delay factor - If they can't schedule extra time for showing off the rig they may not want to buy one. (Although having said that, the efficiency of the layout should make up for it.)
Absolutely fabulous rig!

Thank you for your prompt reply (via phone) regarding the sales quote below. As you are obviously aware, a major competitor of yours is located in very close geographic proximity. There appears to be several used rigs for sale on that website. I would personally not like to give that business one red cent of mine. My correspondence with PurdyBilt has been prompt and courteous. I cannot say the same for your competitor. As such, I would really prefer to do business with your company.
Thank you very much.
